Playing on the playground

July 6, 2009 Checkin' it out.

Today Mom and I took Maddox and Lucy to the playground at Trinity Episcopal Church. It is close to home and the playground equipment is so nice. Lucy took a minute or two to warm up to the whole idea. After all, this is one of the first playgrounds she's been to since she's been walking and this sawdust-type stuff takes a little getting used to. She caught on quickly and was up and going!

We've gotta find this baby girl a smaller playground. About all she could do here was swing, but she enjoyed that. She had a good view of all the other children.

Higher and higher he goes...........

No fear.....for Maddox, that is. This Grammy was shaking in her sandals!

"See, Grammy......nothin' to it!"

We shoulda named this girl Ruth..........because whither Maddox goeth, she doth go. This tunnel was lots of fun for her though; fully enclosed, it went in a U, where Grammy could head off a tiny girl easily.

Thinking

"Still there, Mom?"

Not just everyone can stand up in the tunnel, meant for crawling.

"Look, Mom! I can touch the ceiling!"

Is this high and curvy enough for you, buddy?

(Guess so, he slid down it about 5 times!)

Goin' again. Don't boys ever get tired?

Made it! Again...and again!

I guess that which does not stop your heart makes it stronger, huh?

"We're coming, Mom!"

Headed home; hot and tired......and hungry! That's good.............it's suppertime!
