Day is done...............

December 21, 2009The end of a long and busy day
Chillin' with a little Wonder Pets before bedtime.

Back-to-back

December 18, 2009Today Courtney and I were watching the children play and decided to put the boys back-to-back to see how much taller Sterling is than Maddox. Still a bit, but the 4 month head start Sterling has on Maddox is closing up pretty quickly.
Ella had to join them

As you can see, when they're a bit apart they really look a lot the same height.
Baby Sister Lucy was napping when this back-to-backness took place or, trust me, she'd have been right in the midst of it! Saying that, I must include her one day soon in such a picture: she is hot on the heels of these older siblings! Becky called me the other day and said, "Mama, Lucy and Maddox are the same height!" I said, "No, they're really not, but until you put them back-to-back they sure look like it!
Quads! I love it!!

Quads?

December 17, 2009
Of course these babies are not quads; they're not even kin!....but all four at once will really give you a "flavor" of what it would be like.............WOW! Great fun for a bit but all the time? YIKES!Ella, reading to Lucy, Maddox and Sterling

Sleepy girl

December 7, 2009This is what happens when a little girl doesn't get her nap out.
This one is not gonna miss out on much!
De ja vu for this Grammy!

Playing outside

December 7, 2009I am loving this: I can now put both babies outside to play by themselves!
Because the yard is completely fenced in and because the great room is pretty much a sunroom, with 8 floor-to-ceiling windows and a full glass storm door leading outside, I can keep my eye on them (and they on me!) while they play outside.

Lucy is now quite proficient going up and down the two steps from the deck to the yard.
What a big girl!...............and don't think for a minute she doesn't feel it!

O Christmas tree..........

December 7, 2009
Both babies loved the Christmas tree when they came over today. I am so proud of them! They bothered neither ornaments nor presents the whole season. Good babies or what!?

"WOW!"
We used that word a lot this Christmas, especially pertaining to lights, whether on a tree or in Wilson park or driving down Court St.

In awe.

Checking it out from every angle.

"No touch."
Pointing is good.

There was a snowman on the children's table that played his violin when you clapped your hands. Neither baby could clap loud enough to make him play, but Lucy discovered she could gently hit the table with her hand and he'd play. They had such fun showing him off.

"See Mom, ........pretty........but no touch, OK?"
