Homeward bound!

Well, we did it! We sprung Max from the NICU in Huntsville! Actually, the doctors called Becky at 9:30 a.m. and asked if she'd like to come and get her son. His platelet count after the 2 transfusions yesterday was 437,000! She called me at work; I left immediately; we left her house at 10:30 a.m. and at 11:30 a.m. we were at the NICU to get him. Todd was working in Chattanooga, so he met us in Athens where little Max visited his first restaurant. More about that and pictures in a bit. Talk about a riding baby............this boy loves to ride! A very good thing that is too, since his Mommy and Daddy also love to ride. He was awake most of the trip home, just looking around at everything with great big eyes, and a little round mouth seeming to say, "Ohhhhhhhh" all the time.
Needless to say, we are all a little overjoyed that this day has finally arrived
