You can't tell how dark it is because of the flash on the camera, but trust me, it was DARK!
Mom had shown Maddox how to use her flashlight.
What fun he had, shining it everywhere in the dark bedroom.
Mom is mad that she didn't think to take him outside, but not to worry: she's out buying Lucy her own flashlight too and the next night that she has a chance, you can bet she'll have both of them outside shining flashlights up into the trees.
