"I know, they tried to make me wear one, too, but I pulled mine off! I'm sorry you're too little to pull yours off. If I get a chance and they'll let me get close enough to you, I'll pull it off for you, OK?" (He never got the chance, but Lucy surprised him by pulling hers off all by herself!)
