Tonight we had a belated birthday party for Mom at our friend Lynn McLean's house. Lynn sweated over hot coals in 100 degree weather to grill Mom's favorite: black and bleu burgers with grilled veggies. When we got ready to eat, we all gathered around while Lynn brought out the "birthday cake" that she had made...........deviled eggs!! Complete with candles and everyone singing "Happy Birthday, dear Mom"........what a great time.
We ended the evening with a sunset pontoon boat ride..................something Mom has really missed this summer while she has been recouping from her various ailments. Becky, Todd and Maddox joined us for baby Maddox's first boat ride. More about that in another posting.
Lynn, you sure know how to throw a party! Thanks, girl!
