Seeing brother off to school..........

October 16, 2009When Maddox was born, I bought him a backpack and used it for a diaper bag until today, when it officially became his school backpack. When he woke up this morning and I told him he was going to get to go to school and play with his friends, he immediately put his backpack on (over his pj's!). Lulu walked around everywhere looking for her "ratpack"................you can bet this Grammy has now ordered that baby sister her very own "ratpack"! Since she didn't have a backpack, she brought me her favorite red shoes to wear......we just had to search until we found something to wear with them.

She was happily content to go home with her Mama after waving bye-bye to big brother.

First day of school!

October 16, 2009Maddox was SO excited to go to school this morning!
"This way, Grammy. My class is right down that hall."
Deja vu: when Amy started to Dayschool I put her in a different place because I feared she would get tired of being in the same place as she was on Sunday. She was not happy so I moved her to this Dayschool.
NOW I know: babies love familiar places.


"MY school!"

"Is it almost time to go in?"
Dummy Grammy.....thought she'd take the babies by the church office to visit for a few minutes while waiting on Becky to come for the "send-off" for 1st day of school.
BAD IDEA! This boy knows exactly where his "school" is, and it is NOT in that office!
He would have none of it. Only bad thing is you can't take them to the room until 8:55 unless you pay the "early bird" fee...........good grief! By 8:45 I was ready to pay anything to let the boy go in! Learned my lesson there!




Finally! Maddox has gone to school!

Recycling

This little girl doesn't miss a trick.

Mom got the recycling as far as the carport door and left it, intending to come back and take it out when the babies were not in the great room (it was raining outside and she didn't want to have to deal with 2 little ones wanting to go outside with her).

Next thing we know, here comes little "Hercules" with both trash bags full of recyclables.

Eating with Mom

Mom was eating some rather hot (with spices) chili.
Lucy just couldn't understand why Mom wouldn't share.
"But Mom, you're usually so good to share your food with me," says baby Lulu.
