February 16, 2009I've been trying for days to get a picture of Lucy's two little bottom teeth. Today I caught her *mid-clap; I think you can see both of them in this picture.
One of the things Lucy has enjoyed so much about having little toofies is that she gets to sit on the bathroom counter with Maddox to brush teeth. I let them "brush" their teeth with their own little tooth brushes first (brush= suck on the toothbrush until the small dab of toothbrush is completely gone), then I brush them with a finger toothbrush. The manufacturers of those finger toothbrushes should put a warning on them: danger of being bitten! I have learned the trick: get them to laughing and brush really quickly before they can chomp down!
Although Maddox was late cutting his first teeth, he is on a roll now. He has about 12 in now and his little gums are bumpy with teeth lying just beneath the surface.
*Clapping is another one of the new milestones she's reached this past week. It came on the heels of learning to get into a sitting position from being on her tummy. When she finally made it to sitting, she squealed and clapped her hands. She continues to squeal and clap many times when she sits, especially if she sees that someone is watching her.
