On April 11 there is an Easter Egg Hunt in Wilson Park that I am hoping to take Maddox and Lucy to. It starts at 10 a.m. They tell me to be there early, because by 10:05 it is over! It is sponsored by the children's department at our church and everyone has lots of fun just running around together and visiting with the Easter bunny.
Last year Maddox enjoyed watching all the children and the Easter bunny, as Lucy will this year. However, this year Maddox can actually be one of those running-around children.
We decided to start having Easter Egg Hunt practices at my house so he would understand what he's supposed to do on that Saturday. He loved it! The area we are going to have to work on is taking time to check out each egg he finds. I will be thrilled if he can find even one egg for his basket at the park; I think he will be so fascinated by all the children that he won't even think of trying to find eggs.
Oh, well. Not to worry...............next year we'll have a couple of go-getters! He'll have his sister to help; together they'll probably take the park by storm!
