January 3, 2009Maddox and Lucy visited Santa early in December at the Mall. Although neither cried, neither just loved him either. Maddox did, however, love the lollipop Santa gave him............his first lollipop ever!
Maybe next year he'll like him even more, if we remind him of that wonderful sucker he got from him this year. He gave Lucy a lollipop too, but we decided that her Mama might not be too happy with either Santa or Grammy if she was allowed to try it just yet. I was tempted; there were two little ones, younger than Lucy, with sticky smeared all over their little faces, happily sucking away on theirs. That made the decision a lot easier too; they were messes!!
FOR SURE next year, little sister................however, I think maybe we'll try a different Santa. This poor fella, although he looked great, was having babies plopped on his lap so fast to have pictures taken that he never even said, "HO, HO, HO!" He really wasn't very jolly at all. Maddox didn't care; he wasn't too keen to be on his lap anyway. Lucy, on the other hand, settled down for the duration...........she was quite content sitting there and watching all the other boys and girls scramble around in front of her.
Oh, well, I'm glad it was this year and not next................Maddox will definitely be expecting a jollier St. Nick next year.
